Cupping

Cupping is a form of alternative pain therapy treatment. The traditional method uses a flame to create suction in the cup and applies that cup to the body to draw the skin up under the cup. A suction is created on the patient's skin using glass cups to mobilize blood flow, reduce pain, and treat...

This increases blood flow to the area and improves circulation. It feels like gentle pulling on the skin, and (when correctly performed) is not painful.

Cupping therapy is usually used as part of acupuncture or body work treatment. It's been part of Chinese medicine for over 2,500 years. Originally, animal horn was the original cup, and later either brass, ceramic, or bamboo cups were used.

Each cupping session will last about 10 to 15 minutes, and treatments can be repeated over time as needed.
